STR Software Lands Contract from AMC Theatres to Integrate Automated Faxing System in Oracle Environment

RICHMOND, VA (PRWEB) July 14, 2004

STR Software won a new contract from AMC Theatres, the principal subsidiary of AMC Entertainment in Kansas City, Mo. STR Software will implement AventX UNIX, a software product for automatically faxing documents from Unix operating systems. AMC Theatres will also incorporate AventX Oracle Connector, which lets users fax any printable documents, such as purchase orders and reports, directly from Oracle E-Business Suite, a business applications software package. The AventX ASP option will also enable the movie chain to send documents electronically via EasyLink, an application service provider, without added capital investment in hardware. The STR Software-EasyLink solution provides AMC Theatres the hardware-free, Web-based alternative they have been seeking.

STR Software of Richmond, Va., develops, markets and supports software products in business information delivery for host ERP applications like Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and SAP. The company provides fax, email and Internet fax software solutions for Linux, Unix, Windows and MPE environments. For additional information, visit http://www.strsoftware.com.

AMC Theatres is the second-largest movie chain in the U.S., owning about 240 theaters that house over 3,500 screens. For more information, visit http://www.amctheatres.com.
