FibreSpan selected for Allies & Morrison redevelopment master plan

London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 26 August 2011

Allies and Morrison, architecture and urban planning practice based in London, uses FibreSpan’s point-to-point dark fibre to extend its local area network during office redevelopment.

Allies and Morrison operates from its own purpose designed studios at 85 Southwark Street – the RIBA London Building of the Year 2004. The firm has temporarily relocated staff due to an office redevelopment project and opted for bespoke connectivity services from FibreSpan – the national network carrier specialising in dedicated dark fibre and ultra-high bandwidth network services.

The LAN extension has been designed, installed and maintained by FibreSpan to meet the firm’s specific requirements for dependable high-bandwidth network connectivity – within very specific and tight timeframes. The link enables the transfer of large design files, allows teams to seamlessly access network services and supports security monitoring systems between the two buildings.

Adam Wheeler, Sales Manager at FibreSpan comments: “Our fixed price point-to-point dark fibre service puts Allies and Morrison in complete control of their own secure and reliable high-speed network across sites.”

The award winning architectural practice has many significant projects to its name, including the British Embassy in Dublin, the Royal Festival Hall refurbishment at the Southbank, the Royal Observatory in Greenwich and most notably (and topical) contributed to London’s successful bid to host the 2012 Games, then became jointly responsible for delivering master plans for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and for the Post-Games Transformation of the site in 2013.

FibreSpan’s dark fibre network services provides dedicated point-to-point connectivity with its fixed price unlimited bandwidth model – a future proof solution suitable for high data users with changing bandwidth needs.
